Magic Johnson reached those heights in basketball that are very difficult to catch up with. He represented Los Angeles Lakers in NBA and played as a point guard. He started his career with them in1979. They won the championship in 1980 and as a rookie he got most valuable player award in NBA finals.

He played a major role in his team winning the NBA championship four more times in 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988. He made his retirement in 1991 as he had HIV. He made a return in 1992 by playing in all star game. He was chosen as the all star most valuable person. He retired again for some time. He again made a comeback in 1996. He played 32 more matches for Lakers and retired for the last time.

He got the MVP award in NBA three times. He represented the U.S. dream team that won gold medal at the Olympics in 1992.
